About CGP Capital Partners
CGP Capital Partners is a privately held investment company that focuses on the acquisition and management of value-add multifamily properties. We specialize in repositioning well located assets in emerging markets to protect investor capital and provide high yield returns.
Our core mission of protecting our investment partners’ capital begins with our sole focus on multifamily properties. The firm’s strategy focuses on improving Class B & C apartment communities in secondary and tertiary markets nationwide. Historically, multifamily has been the least volatile real estate asset class during downturns while still offering strong upside potential during upturns. Within multifamily, Class B & C provides one of the most attractive investment opportunities due to the imbalance between the strong and growing demand and limited new supply of these units.

Our approach to acquiring and managing real estate is modeled on the successes of our investment experiences. Real estate investment is the cornerstone of consistent wealth. Multifamily investments generate ongoing passive income with a focus on appreciation over time through added value. Real estate is a physical asset that can always be monetized by renting, selling, or refinancing the property, irrespective of financial market conditions. This makes real estate a far more stable investment compared to stocks and bonds that are highly susceptible to the day to day fluxes in the market. Furthermore, within the real estate investment space, multifamily assets have proven to be the safest asset class.
Our Managing Partners
Jennel Mills
Managing Partner
Jennel has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, managing Class A office space. She has managed $7M+ operating budgets, and has experience executing large capital projects directly or alongside a construction management team. From 2019 through 2021, Jennel successfully managed Class A tenant expectations through a $12M, 2.5 year, complete lobby renovation and elevator modernization project on a downtown commercial office tower, also while leading the communication and implementing operating procedures relating to the unprecedented pandemic and civil unrest environment.
Jennel is experienced in managing owner and asset manager relationships, generating monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and being the lead property contact through due diligence of multiple $100M+ office building sales. Her nearly 2 decades of experience in commercial real estate has prepared her for the exciting challenges related to multifamily investing and make her an asset on any team she partner’s with.
Jennel and her husband, Dean, live in Garner, North Carolina with their three children. Their favorite weekend activity is traveling to the mountains or coast of North Carolina.
